On 15 September 2024, Casteggio, one of the liveliest towns in the Oltrepò Pavese area, will be animated by an unmissable event: CASTEGGIOFest. The autumn fair in September returns with all its charge of joy, tradition and novelty, bringing to the village an evening full of activities for young and old. From traditional stalls and the Luna Park to music and breathtaking shows, Casteggio will offer citizens and visitors a unique experience.
Like every year, the September Autumn Fair will fill the streets of the village with colourful stalls, where a wide range of products will be available. In addition to the stalls, there will also be the ever-present Luna Park, the main attraction for children and those who love fun rides and candyfloss.
Starting at 8 p.m., Via Roma will become the beating heart of the evening, thanks to a series of activities designed to involve the public of all ages. Music will play a leading role, with the rhythms of the 80s, 90s and 2000s, mixed by the well-known DJ Miki the engineer and accompanied by the energetic voice of Vocalist Carlo De Riso
There will be no shortage of high-quality street food. Street food will be one of the main gastronomic attractions of the evening, offering a variety of tasty dishes freshly prepared. One of the most eagerly awaited proposals will be ‘Chocomoments Fabbrica del Cioccolato’, a true paradise for gourmands.
The atmosphere will be made even more magical thanks to the presence of street performers such as stilt-walkers with giant illuminated wings, who will float above the crowd, and fire-eaters who will enchant with their dancing flames. To complete the entertainment there will also be an illusionist magician, ready to amaze with incredible tricks, creating a dreamlike atmosphere.
Another show not to be missed will be the performance of ASD Roller Dream, a team that will amaze the public with spectacular choreography on rollers, demonstrating skill and coordination in a show with high visual impact.
Casteggio is famous for the production of excellent wines and the CASTEGGIOFest will also be an opportunity to celebrate this important wine tradition. Along Via Roma, at the entrance of each shop, it will be possible to taste a selection of local wines free of charge.
Not only fun, but also solidarity. In PIAZZA DANTE, the heart of the festival will be the meeting point between good food and charity. The protagonist will be the street food ‘Scrocchiarella’, a gastronomic initiative promoted by AB Mauri and the Pro Loco Clastidium. The real beauty of this initiative lies in the fact that the entire proceeds of the sale will be donated to the Paediatric Oncology Department of the Policlinico San Matteo in Pavia
CASTEGGIOFest is designed to welcome people of all ages and tastes. From young people who will want to go wild to the rhythm of music, to families who will be able to enjoy the magic of street shows, to lovers of good food and wine. The town of Casteggio will be transformed into a large stage, where tradition and innovation meet to provide an unforgettable evening.
