Once again this year, Oltrepò Pavese is preparing to host Calici di Stelle, one of the most eagerly awaited wine and food events of the year. The 2024 edition, organised by the Wine Tourism Movement in collaboration with the Wine Cities Association, promises to bring many new enthusiasts closer to the great Italian wines through unique and enthralling evenings Calici di Stelle (Goblets of Stars) has the main objective of promoting conscious drinking and enhancing Italian wine territories. Through meetings between producers and consumers, the event intends to disseminate the culture of wine and its strong link with the territory. The event aims to enhance the historical sites of the participating municipalities and the local wineries, with their vineyards and cellars open to the public.
The Certosa di Cantù, located at Via Circonvallazione 62 in Casteggio, will be the first stage of Calici di Stelle in Oltrepò Pavese. In this splendid setting, a toast will be made with the wine that symbolises the territory. The event will begin at 8.30 p.m. and continue until late in the evening, accompanied by background music that will make the atmosphere even more evocative. The tastings will be combined with gastronomic delicacies offered by the La Cave Cantù restaurant, creating a complete sensory experience.
It will also be possible to visit the Archaeological Museum, which will be open extraordinarily for the occasion, allowing visitors to enrich the evening with a touch of local culture and history.
Cigognola Castle - 10 August 2024
The Castle of Cigognola will host one of the most traditional and eagerly awaited events of Calici di Stelle. From 8.00 p.m. until 1.00 a.m., visitors will be able to take part in a tasting session of the best products of the local food and wine tradition. The Cigognola Castle, one of the architectural jewels of the Oltrepò Pavese, will be the backdrop to an evening of taste and elegance.
Making the evening even more special will be stargazing from the manor square, an experience that combines the charm of wine with the beauty of the night sky, creating a magical and unrepeatable atmosphere.
La Casaia Winery - 10 August 2024
Also on 10 August, the La Casaia winery in Santa Giuletta will open its doors for an aperitif buffet from 7 p.m. onwards. For only 15 euros, participants will be able to enjoy a glass of wine accompanied by gastronomic delicacies, all enlivened by live music that will help create a festive and relaxing atmosphere.
To participate in the event, reservations are recommended by 6 August, thus securing a place at this unmissable summer evening.
