Summer is the perfect time to celebrate, and in Brallo di Pregola this spirit is beautifully embodied with the third edition of ‘R...Estate in Piazza’. This festival, scheduled for Friday 2 August, promises a day full of exciting events, fun for all ages and a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in local life and traditions.
Organised by the Pro Loco in collaboration with the municipal administration, ‘R...Estate in Piazza’ is an event that celebrates community and territory. This edition brings with it a perfect mix of traditional and new elements, ensuring a fresh and engaging experience for all participants.
The afternoon starts with a very special show: ‘Our heart, our home, the place where it all began’, performed by the children‘s group ‘Banda smarriti’. This show, to be held at 4pm in the cinema hall, represents the heart of the community, with the children telling stories and anecdotes related to their beloved country.
From 5 p.m. onwards, the square will be transformed into a lively centre of craft activities. Workshops run by local artisans and producers will offer a range of hands-on experiences: biscuit baking, bee secrets and basketry. Children and adults will be able to learn how to bake delicious biscuits, following traditional recipes, discover the world of bees with hands-on demonstrations on honey production, and create baskets as they used to, using traditional techniques. For the delight of the little ones, an inflatable will be present throughout the day, and there will be pancakes and candy floss for a sweet break. Science and nature lovers will enjoy the extraordinary opening of the museum with the exhibition ‘Marvelous Nature - between science and legend’, curated by the Ente Museale Oltrepo. This exhibition, available from 18:00 to 22:00, offers a fascinating exploration of natural wonders and the legends connected with them.
With the arrival of evening, the village streets will come even more alive. The women of Brallo will welcome you with their delicious confectionery along the famous ‘Dolcevia’. In addition, hobbyist and creative stalls will offer a variety of unique handicraft products, while the village shops will remain open for evening shopping. The evening will continue with music and entertainment provided by ‘Maury and Dona’, who will entertain the audience with karaoke and good times. Afterwards, Dj Lionel‘s DJ set will take over, ensuring a night of dancing and fun that will continue until late at night.
For those who wish to dine, there will be a wide range of gastronomic offerings: from street food stands run by the Pro Loco, which will offer quick and tasty dishes, to local restaurants that will serve delicious local dishes. ‘R...Estate in Piazza’ is an unmissable event that promises to provide a day full of emotions, discoveries and lots of fun.
