From 13 to 15 July 2024, Canneto Pavese will host the 43rd edition of the Wine Festival, a major event in the Lombardy wine and food scene. This event, which has now become a tradition, celebrates the wine excellence of the Oltrepò Pavese, one of the most renowned wine-growing regions in Italy.
During the three-day event, visitors will have the opportunity to taste a selection of the area‘s most award-winning wines. From full-bodied reds to fresh whites, passing through aromatic rosés and sparkling wines, each goblet tells the story of a territory rich in wine-growing traditions. The Oltrepò Pavese, in fact, is known for its production of high quality wines, thanks to the favourable microclimate and hilly terrain offering ideal conditions for viticulture.
The event is not limited to wine tasting. Every evening there will be a catering service (reservation required), where participants can enjoy gastronomic specialities of the area. Typical cured meats, homemade first courses and succulent second courses will be the stars of the dinners, creating a perfect combination of food and wine.
The Wine Festival is not only an event for wine lovers, but also an opportunity for fun and socialising. Saturday evening will be animated by a dance evening with music from the 80s, 90s and 2000s, a musical journey that will make all generations dance. Sunday, on the other hand, will be dedicated to the nostalgic with a tribute to Max Pezzali and 883 performed by the 0382band, promising an evening full of emotions and memories.
Monday, the last day of the event, will feature popular games involving young and old, creating an atmosphere of celebration and community. The day will end with a grandiose fireworks display at 11.30pm, a spectacular finale that will leave everyone speechless.
