The 2024 edition of the Cherry Festival, scheduled for Sunday 16 June, is eagerly awaited by locals and visitors from all over the region. Organised by the municipal administration in close collaboration with the local Pro Loco, this festival is an important moment to enhance and promote the agricultural and gastronomic heritage of Bagnaria.
The Bagnaria area has long been known for the quality and variety of its cherries, so much so that it is part of the National Association of Cherry Towns. Together with 36 other municipalities scattered throughout Italy, Bagnaria contributes significantly to national cherry production, confirming the prestige and reputation it enjoys on the Italian agricultural scene.
The centrepiece of the Sagra delle Ciliegie (Cherry Festival) is the municipal covered market, where visitors can immerse themselves in a vibrant and colourful atmosphere, enveloped by the intense aromas of fresh cherries and the liveliness of the typical products on display. Here, local producers offer their excellence, guaranteeing the freshness and authenticity of a much-loved and appreciated fruit.
But the Cherry Festival is not only an opportunity to taste the delicacies of the territory; it is also a moment of meeting and conviviality, enriched by numerous activities and entertainment for all ages. There is also a market of typical local products along the narrow streets of the historic centre.
