In the enchanting land of Oltrepò Pavese, interwoven with lush vineyards and excellent agricultural production, Slow Food Oltrepò Pavese and the Santachiara Institute of Stradella invite you on an exploratory journey that leads to the discovery of authentic flavours and traditions that have been handed down through generations.
Slow Food Oltrepò Pavese APS, in collaboration with the Istituto Santa Chiara di Stradella ODPF, organise a food and wine and information meeting to tell the story of good, clean and fair food, representative of local production in the Oltrepò Pavese area but also of national Presidia.
A story on the food and wine of the area and the dissemination of the activities of small producers who, with passion and hard work, conserve a hilly territory that is important for the entire community.
Virtuous realities that work according to values of sustainability and respect for the ecosystem maintain the soil in good conditions of organic fertility, mow lawns, maintain forests, and prevent landslides, thus contributing to improving biodiversity in all its forms.
The meeting will take place on Saturday 2 March at 12.30 p.m. in Stradella at the school.
The Santachiara Institute in Stradella participates in the Slow Food Alliance of COOKS, a community that unites chefs and pizza makers from all over Italy with the aim of enhancing and spreading knowledge of typical food and wine in the various territories.
The students of the Santachiara Institute, assisted by Chef Silvano Vanzulli and with the support of Slow Food, will propose a menu "narrating food and wine" with wines from four companies that are part of the Slow Wine circuit: Torre Degli Alberi, Valdamonte, Andrea Buscaglia, Calatroni.
