An Inspiration for Father Christmas‘ is the fourth story in a collection for children and young people, written and illustrated by Girgenti Katiuscia in 2021, the year the Covid took away our freedom and, unfortunately for many, our lives. Perhaps it was an opportunity to rediscover some values, to give importance to small things, to small gestures, full of a renewed feeling.
anic!!!
The Advent season has now begun, but there is no trace of him.
Disappeared for about a year, he had left a few lines:
"After centuries I need new inspiration, I must regain the spirit of the past and therefore I will take a sabbatical year. My dears, take it easy!"
Of course, take it easy is not the same as saying it!!! In Father Christmas‘s village in the Arctic Circle, millions of letters are arriving from all over the world. Goblins are at work in the toy factories to grant every wish; but where is He? Who will deliver the presents? The search so far has been in vain, so all that remains is to issue an appeal in all the newspapers of the World.
And here‘s the headline: "CHRISTMAS IS IN DANGER - SANTA NATALE IS MISSING AND ANYONE WHO FINDS AND SIGNS HIM WILL BE GIVEN A LITTLE REFUND".
The news had also reached the editorial office of the Weekly Bulletin of the Magic Wood, in the Village of Perducco of the Kingdom of Zavattarello. Fabrice the Rooster and Fabius the Mole lost no time in publishing the news.
Everyone read it with amazement! In particular Lupo Filiberto and Tasso Gastone were already rubbing their paws at the idea of the reward. In fact, Lupo Filiberto got it into his head to find out where Father Christmas might be and went to his friend‘s den to discuss the matter, away from prying eyes.
Filiberto: "Gastone, I tell you it‘s Him!"
