To create a great project driven by one‘s passion, where one can best express oneself and one‘s philosophy. This is Francesca Carannante‘s great achievement.
Francesca Carannante, originally from Campania, lived her childhood immersed in the beautiful setting of the Campi Flegrei until she made the decision to move to Milan to pursue a degree in Art at the Brera Academy of Fine Arts.
However, the young woman was deeply fascinated by the world of wine and, in order to expand her personal knowledge, she decided to enrol in a first-level sommelier course in 2019. This choice marked the beginning of her exciting journey of discovery of wineries, producers, wines and territories.
Today, Francesca Carannante holds the 3 levels W-Set Wine&Spirits International Certification. However, this is not her only great achievement. A few years ago, the desire was born in her to create a project capable of concretising and representing her philosophy and passion for wine, and she decided to realise it here in the Oltrepò Pavese, an area she often considers undervalued but rich in potential.
In 2021, Francesca Carannante‘s great project was born to all intents and purposes with the production of sparkling wines made from Pinot Noir, a grape variety that is as sensitive as it is complex to cultivate, but capable of giving wines of extraordinary structure, characterised by an elegant body that is never intrusive.
Francesca Carannante will participate in this year‘s ‘50 Sfumature di Pinot Noir‘ event, where she will present and offer her two masterpieces:
- «Metodo Classico Dosage Zéro/Nature»: comes from Pinot Noir. Its colour is straw yellow with golden reflections. It is fresh, clean and mineral, almost salty on the palate.
- «Metodo Classico Brut Rosé»: comes from Pinot Noir. Its colour is pale cherry pink and it has a fine, persistent perlage with delicate mineral and fruity notes of strawberries and raspberry.
Within her creations, the personality of Francesca Carannante emerges: a woman who believes in the elegance of simplicity and who, with her tenacity, has succeeded in bringing this ambitious project to fruition.
