Quantum physics is capable of revealing a universe that is surprisingly different from what we perceive in everyday life. At this festival, the guests present will be able to explain these intriguing phenomena
Zavattarello is an ancient village in the heart of the Oltrepò Pavese area, where time seems to have stopped in the past but does not pay due attention to topical issues. Surrounding this village are scenic wonders that seem to evoke the image of a postcard. Many people come to this ancient village either because they are interested in visiting it or because they are attracted by the various events organised here.
The next big event to be celebrated in Zavattarello will be the 1st Quantum Physics Festival ‘If Reality Doesn‘t Exist‘. It will be held on Saturday 7 October 2023 at the Castello del Verme from 10 am to 4 pm.
As Carlo Rovelli says in Helgoland: ‘There is something disconcerting about the worldview emerging from quantum theory. We have to abandon something that seemed very, very natural to us: the idea of a world made of things. We have to recognise it as an old prejudice, an old barrow that no longer serves us‘.
The principles of Quantum Physics are known to be extraordinarily antithetical to our intuitions, often contradicting what our senses suggest. However, gaining an understanding of these concepts can revolutionise our usual perception of the world and, by extension, of life itself.
The guests who will be present at the Festival have very different paths from each other but parallel in that they all explore the concept of the quantum mind: ‘the idea that the observation of a given object can modify the nature of the object itself‘.
Actor and director Vincenzo Zampa will introduce with short texts the guests of the event, who are:
- Chiara Zagonel, mathematician and physicist ‘What is Quantum Physics and how it improves everyday life‘
- Benedetta Galazzo, architect and spiritual researcher ‘From the sub-atomic world the new questions about matter and spirituality‘
- Gianfranco Malafarina, essayist and art historian ‘Science and art as joint efforts to find new ways of seeing and understanding the world‘
- Ven. Lobsang Kunsang, Buddhist Monarch, "Relative Reality and Absolute Reality".
- Marco Moretto, rock physiotherapist, "The Quantum Field
Tiziana Fragomeni, mediator and trainer in conflict transformation techniques: Coordination and conclusion on "How we unconsciously create reality"
The event will also feature images of works by Gabriella Casiraghi, with the aim of capturing the essence of art in reality and discovering that nothing is as it appears.
This festival will allow the great subject of Quantum Physics to be analysed and known in a transversal way. To take part in the event, it is recommended to arrive earlier than the official starting time due to the 15 minutes needed to reach the castle. Admission is free of charge, but it is necessary to make a reservation in the link attached below in order to participate.
