«Our enthusiasm stems from being able to accompany our wine from the vineyard to the bottle. This is the spirit that guides the Fabbri family every day in the art of viticulture»
Although there is no agricultural tradition in its previous genealogies, except for a few examples of subsistence farming, this family has always had a deep and healthy entrepreneurial streak, based on principles such as passion and the gratification that comes from satisfying one‘s customers. The Società Agricola Corte Fabbri was founded by two brothers, Marco and Riccardo Fabbri, where Marco‘s passion for viticulture and oenology has involved and inspired the entire family.
This company was founded in 2019, immediately setting as its main objective the use of specific management techniques with a high level of research and experimentation, working with the typical varieties present such as Croatina, Barbera, Uva Rara, Vespolina and Pinot Noir, in order to obtain a finished product with as few invasive and environmentally impactful techniques as possible. With these methods, the company takes all the necessary steps to demonstrate its commitment through the "Sistema di Qualità Nazionale di produzione integrata" (SQNPI) (National Quality System of Integrated Production) certification and joining the "Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti" (FIVI) in April 2023.
The family‘s objectives include the rediscovery and revaluation of the grapes and wines typical of the Oltrepò Pavese area, focusing on quality and environmental, economic and social sustainability. The wines of La Corte are made from grapes grown in the company‘s 5 hectares of vineyards and each stage, from the campaign to the bottling, is carried out on the land and in the company‘s own cellar.
Since its foundation, Corte Fabbri has been a member of the "Consorzio Tutela Vini Oltrepò Pavese" in order to participate in the initiatives that will shape the future of our Oltrepò, and to offer its customers wines with a certification of quality and typicality.
Corte Fabbri is a family business that does not originate in Oltrepò: the various members of the family originate throughout northern Italy, including Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Lombardy. It was therefore decided that the labels could not bear the names of the vineyards from which they originated, because this choice would take away the merit of the work of other winemakers who had previously tended these vines. Consequently, each wine was dedicated the name of a relative, who could recognise himself or herself in the aromas and sensations that the wine brings to the tasting.
Since 2022, Corte Fabbri has been a member of the ‘Movimento Turismo del Vino Lombardo‘ (Lombardy Wine Tourism Movement), for the promotion of wine tourism as a means of telling and disseminating the culture of wine, its history and the pleasure of sharing the passion for this unique and extraordinary agricultural product.
