The «Casaia» derives its name from what was once a small brick building used for sheltering tools and enjoying a break after a day of hard work in the vineyard.
The choice of this name testifies to the great respect for tradition, history and respect for nature that characterises the mission carried out by the owners of this farm. The project was born out of Roberto and Vittorio‘s determination to produce wines with total respect for people, to protect the environment and to welcome travellers from all over the world so as to spread our culture and traditions.
To achieve these goals, the daughters of the two owners were also involved, bringing the vitality of youth and a great outlook on the future.
Organic cultivation requires a greater commitment in terms of management and costs than traditional viticulture, but the environmental benefits in terms of health and the quality of the end product far justify this choice. Deciding to grow organically means eliminating all environmentally harmful chemicals, thus making wine production more natural and authentic.
Pinot Noir, Bonarda and Chardonnay are the major products of this farm. These grapes are processed and vinified to serve high-quality wine products. These include the Chardonnay Metodo Classico ‘Passione‘, winner of Top Hundred 2022, among the best 100 Italian sparkling wines.
Staying at ‘La Casaia‘ you can enjoy breathtaking views and various experiences organised by the winery, such as:
- Tasting artisanally produced wines and food made exclusively according to the tradition of the area
- Visiting the entire winery, including the cellars, and thus being able to see the various wine production processes up close
- Organise picnics in the vineyards or near the village
- Create tailor-made packages according to the needs of tourists in order to fully savour the tastes of this territory.
