If you are looking for an immersive hike in the nature of Oltrepò Pavese, the 315A Trail of the Sentieri Uniti is the perfect itinerary. With its 19.4 km route winding through the hills, villages, and vineyards of the region, this hike takes approximately 6 hours to complete. Starting and ending in Torricella Verzate, on Via S.L. Versiglia, the trail offers the opportunity to discover some of the most fascinating natural and historical beauties of this area.

From the parking area in Torricella Verzate, we will follow the CAI/Sentieri Uniti signs for trail no. 315A, heading towards Bosco Madio Superiore. After passing the crossroads in the center of the village, we will take the path on the left, passing through Casa Bozzi and the hamlet of Cordona. At the fork, we will turn right to continue towards Casa Ferrari, a picturesque corner of the countryside. Continuing along the trail, we will reach Oliva Gessi, an ancient village known for its rural buildings and charming palace.

Along the route, we will pass through Località Occhio and enter a trail that will lead us to Rosso, Quintiana, and Losana, until we reach the Provincial Road. Following the road to the right, at the Mornico/Oliva junction, we will take the path on the left towards Mornico Losana, another fascinating village dominated by its medieval castle.

After visiting the castle, we will descend towards the square and continue along the Strada dei Pragoni, then follow the signs towards Monte Campone. From there, we will reach Casa Parentela, where a beautiful country road will lead us towards Strada Isimbarda. Those who have already hiked trail 315 can choose to turn left towards Tenuta Isimbarda or continue towards SV Travaglina/Fraccia, ending the route at Cascina Struggia.

Continuing, we will approach Castello di Santa Giuletta and take the trail that descends the hill towards the ruined Cascina Fontana. From there, we will follow scenic cart tracks winding through the vineyards, fully immersing ourselves in the beauty of the landscape. The hike will conclude with our return to Torricella Verzate, where we can visit the Sanctuary, a place rich in history and spirituality.

When consulting the map, it is important to note that the return to the starting point crosses a private, closed property. In this case, it will be necessary to follow the Provincial Road back to the parking area.
